Northville yoga instructor discusses the many benefits of the relaxing regimen

Yoga classes enhance many aspects of an individual's health, which may be an important benefit as one grows older. Typically, the prevalence of many chronic illnesses and conditions increase with age, and incorporating a relaxing exercise such as yoga into one's lifestyle can prevent their development or reduce associated symptoms.

The Observer and Eccentric, a Washington State publication, reported that one Northville woman has been offering classes to enthusiasts over the age of 30 for years.

Diane Siegel-DiVita knows firsthand the positive impact of meditation on one's life, health and mood.

"Yoga made me feel healthier and centered," she told the news source. "One other great thing about it is that there is always something new to learn. Yoga effectively trains the body to develop strength, flexibility and balance. Relaxation techniques are an important part of my yoga classes."

Siegel-DiVita has helped many students learn how to strengthen their mind-body connection, as well as improve their emotional, mental and physical well-being, through the practice of yoga.
